The only goal for the match between Balestier Khalsa FC and DPMM FC came from a great strike of Oh Ddog Yi. The goal shocked the hosts in the 35th minutes. The maximum points from the Toa Payoh Stadium strengthen DPPM FC at third place with 11 points from five games.

At Jurong West Stadium, Gombak United who played Young Lions also secure their three points with one nil victory. The winning goals only came in the 90 minutes from Kingsley Njoku strike thus leading the S-League table with 13 points from five games. The previous top team, SAF FC now placed second with 12 points with a game to spare.

The next game for DPMM FC will be hosting Sengkang Punggol FC at Hassanal Bolkiah National Stadium on 24th Mac. A great number of supporters is expected next week due to the great performances from the Vjeran Simunic squad competing in the S-League.

39th Brunei ITF Junior Circuit

Today remarks the fourth day of the Brunei Group 4 International Tennis Federation (ITF) Junior Circuit Tournament. The 39th edition competitions was held at the Hassanal Bolkiah National Sports Complex's National Tenis Centre. Brunei Darussalam as the hosting nation is represented by its four growing national tennis player Mathew Bukit, Amin Feisal, Oliver Goy & Asher Jeremiah.

A total of 96 competitors from 21 countries has been registered to compete in this tounaments edition. One of the international rising star player to compete in this event is Taipei's Hsieh Cheng-Peng. Ranked 18th in the world junior, he recently won the Australian Open junior doubles title. The competition will continues until this Sunday, 15 March.

DPMM FC will be back on field at the Hassanal Bolkiah National Stadium on the 8th March 2009. The kick-off time will be 8.45pm. Playing at home ground will boosts up the Vjeran Simunic skuad to maintain their good performances momentum. Another three points from this match will put DPMM FC to third position with 7 points from three games.

While the visiting club will be keen to celebrate their first win after only manage to draw on the first two games, leaving them in 9th positions with 2 points.

"I would like to see more supporters in the National Stadium for the next game," Vjeran Simunic, DPMM FC coach.

Two goal at the second half from Yusof Salleh before Abu Bakar Mahari score the winning goal 6 minutes to the stopage time allowed DPMM FC to clinch a 2-1 victory over Korean Super Reds FC.

Despite falling behind to Korean striker Jeon Byung Euk who score from the penalty spot in the 11th minute, DPMM FC hauled back into the game coming out of the changing room. Filled with more than 10,000 local supporters, the Hassanal Bolkiah National Stadium began to rock when Yusof Salleh break level 1-1 after 61st minute through his superb free-kick.

6 minutes to stoppage time, the first DPMM FC scorer from the first game in Singapore last week, Abu Bakar Mahari put his side on the lead for the first time-he fired the winning goal after the goalies stumble for the ball.

The head coach, Vjeran Simunic (picture) is more than happy to comments about the game. "I like to see more supporters for the next game here," Simunic. We are hungry to play football, now it's the time to score and win. "We had more than enough talented local players, injury is not a major problem right now," Simunic.

From the two game so far, DPMM FC now moved to fourth position with four points, thus keeping the pressure on the remaining team to test their capability. Another game last night at Choa Chu Kang Stadium, Singapore, SAFFC beat Home United 3-1. SAFFC remain at the top table followed by Gombak. Third place, Home United shared four points with DPMM FC.
